1. What exactly does You Got Mail Fishtown offer?
YGM-Fishtown provides secure mailbox rental services and package receiving solutions. Our clients can have their mail and packages delivered to our store, ensuring their items are safely stored and protected from theft or weather damage until they can pick them up.
2. How does the mailbox rental service work?
When you rent a mailbox with us, you'll get a physical address where you can receive mail and packages from any carrier. We will notify you upon arrival of your items, which you can then pick up at your convenience during our business hours.
3. What happens if I receive more packages than my plan allows?
If you exceed your package limit for the month, an additional per-package fee will apply, that is a $2-$5 per extra package as outlined in your chosen plan. We recommend considering your typical monthly package volume to select the most suitable plan, and you can always upgrade if your needs increase.
4. Can I receive oversized or heavy packages?
Yes, you can! However, an additional fee of $6 will be charged for each package weighing 20-54 lbs and $12 for each package 55-89 lbs and $20 for packages over 90 lbs, regardless of your chosen plan. This is to ensure we can accommodate and handle these items properly.
5. Is You Got Mail Fishtown secure?
Absolutely. We prioritize the security of your mail and packages. Our facility is monitored, and all items are stored securely until you're able to pick them up. Plus, being a local Fishtown business, we have a vested interest in the safety and security of our community's parcels.
6. Package size restrictions?
As long as it fits through our doors we can accept it!
7. How long do you hold packages for?
We will hold your packages for 14 days. After that there will be an additional fee of $5/day.
8. Can you accept packages that require signatures?
Yes, we can.
9. How secure is your payments software?
We use Stripe and they work tirelessly to make sure that their systems are protected at all times and working efficiently.
10. What if I ship something to YGM-Fishtown without a subscription?
We are here to protect your parcels but you must have a current active/paid subscription. Members without a current paid subscription will receive an email notification and be given 24 hours to fix the subscription. After 24 hours you will be subject to a $5 fee per package until there is an active subscription. If you mail to this address without ever having a subscription plan, we will reject your package and return back to sender.
11. Can others in my household send packages under their names?
Packages to YGMF can only be sent under the account holder's name. You can authorize pick-up by forwarding the QR code to members of your household for a secure pick-up.
12. Are you open on holidays?
We are closed on bank holidays — check our Instagram for any updates and changes to our store hours.
13. What information is needed to open a mailbox?

We will need Form 1583 to be filled out upon your first pick-up.

Please bring 2 forms of ID to check verification.

Valid forms of identification:

  • Valid driver's license or state identification card
  • Armed forces, government, university, or recognized corporate identification card
  • A passport, alien registration card, or certificate of naturalization
  • A current lease, mortgage, or deed of trust
  • A voter or vehicle registration card
  • A home or vehicle insurance policy
